Sea Ice Update June 3 2014 – Global Sea Ice Highest Since 1996

A quick update for sea ice extent for day 153 of 2014:

  • Global Sea Ice Extent is 824,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean.
  • Antarctic Sea Ice Extent is 1,221,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean.
  • Arctic Sea Ice Extent is -397,000 sq km below the 1981-2010 mean.

  1. About global warming causing sea level rise. How much can be atributed to the massive depletion of under ground aquifers?
    How much can be attributed to glacial rebound of the sea floor?
    Could these two factors acount for any significant sea level rise?
    Love your site . It is hard to find through search engines (google). I think they purposely don’t display your site or berry it way down in the search results.
