Day 215 Antarctic Ice Extent Graphed

Day 215 in the Antarctic was August 3 2013. By graphing all the previous day 215’s, you can see how much ice extent has grown in the last 30 years.

Sea Ice Extent is up 1,500,000 sq. km. from 1980 to 2013 and up 1,800,000 sq km from the lowest extent in 1986.

  1. No problem…it is a normal cycle. The poles tend to have sea ice in opposite ends of cycles. Not only for a year but also for the 60 year cycle. That, in my mind, points to clouds being the main climate driver since the poles net effect of couldiness is opposite.
